Congratulations

We would like to extend our congratulations to Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat as the newly-elected Chief Justice, replacing Richard Malanjum who retired last April. This renders Tengku Maimun to be the first female in Malaysia holding such position.

The Chief Justice is the head of the highest court of Malaysia, which is the Federal Court. The position of Chief Justice is the highest position in the Malaysian judicial system. It is followed by the President of the Court of Appeal of Malaysia, Chief Judge of Malaya and the Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak.

We wish her all the best in the execution and administration of justice in Malaysia.
